Dr. Harold Mielke, Jr. MD and Marcia Mielke founded Arbor Crest Wine Cellars in 1982. The Mielkes became interested in wine in the early 1980s when California Chardonnay first gained prominence. Together they established their own winery on the grounds of the Mielke familys cherry orchard.
